It’s a crucial time in the NASCAR Cup Series, and as the stakes rise, so do the tensions.
At Sunday’s AdventHealth 400 in Kansas, those tensions got the best of veteran driver AJ Allmendinger.
Allmendinger entered Sunday’s race in a position to make a run for the playoffs, but engine issues forced an early exit from the race. Understandably frustrated, the NASCAR Driver Cam feed captured a fiery rant from Allmendinger, who had come choice words for his engine manufacturer.

AJ Allmendinger directs NSFW rant at Earnhardt-Childress Racing
With the engine issues forcing Allmendinger out of the race, the manufacturer was naturally the target of his ire. It just so happens that the manufacturer is Earnhardt-Childress Racing (ECR), which, as the name indicates, is tied to both Dale Earnhardt and Richard Childress.
“Hey, ECR, you guys f—ing suck,” Allmendinger firmly declared. When asked if he lost the engine, a sarcastic Allmendinger says, “Yeah, shockingly.”

Allmendinger is a member of Kaulig Racing which has a technical alliance with Richard Childress Racing (RCR) and, by affiliation, ECR.

After exiting the vehicle, Allmendinger apparently could be heard exclaiming more profane language, directing f-bombs toward ECR out of clear frustration with the situation.
Justified as Allmendinger’s frustration may have been, his choice words will likely lead to the need for a statement or an apology toward ECR.Â
