Opened in 1990, the Target Center is the home venue for the Timberwolves and Minnesota Lynx of the WNBA. Over time, the Target Center has been renovated to remain one of the top facilities in the country for basketball games, concerts and other events.

The Target Center alters its seating map for concerts. The map below gives you the general layout for a concert, though it can change depending on how a performer sets up the stage.

Target Center bag policy 

In order to enter the Target Center, all bags must adhere to the size requirements (5×9 measurements). Bags do not have to be clear.

The Target Center does not offer a bag check or locker service for guests with bags that do not meet size requirements. Any bags that are too large must be returned to your car or hotel.

Parking lots typically open several hours before the start of Timberwolves and Lynx games. Specific times for other events can be found on the Target Center website.

Parking at the Target Center can cost anywhere between $20 and $40 on game and event days depending on the type of parking and location.

Target Center transportation, rideshare and taxi options

If you are using a rideshare app, taxi or bus service to travel to an event at the Target Center, you can direct the vehicle to the designated drop-off and pick-up zones. Rideshare pick-up and drop-off zones will be located along 1st Avenue North and 6th Street.

Fans interested in public transportation can use several different Metro Transit bus lines or the blue and green Metro Transit train lines servicing the Downtown Minneapolis area.

The Target Center uses mobile tickets for all events. Guests must display their passes on mobile phones in order to enter. Screenshots and physical tickets will not be scanned or accepted.

Guests may enter at the Mayo Clinic Skyway Entrance, ABC Ramp Skyway Entrance, South Skyway Entrance or Six One Two Premium Entrance.

Can I re-enter Target Center?

Re-entry is not allowed at the Target Center under any circumstances. Tickets are good for one-time entry to games and events only, unless in the case of an emergency.

Can I bring my purse into Target Center?

Yes, you can bring a regular purse into the Target Center as long as it meets the size requirements (5×9 measurements). Bags do not have to be clear.

Can I bring my baby or child to an event/game at Target Center?

Yes, but all guests two years of age and older must have a ticket in order to attend a Timberwolves or Lynx home game. All infants must be seated on an adult’s lap and not interfere with the sightlines of other guests.

No, you can’t bring outside food and beverages into the Target Center.

Can I bring my vape into Target Center?

No, you can’t bring a vape into the Target Center. It is a completely non-smoking facility. All guests are prohibited from smoking (including electronic cigarettes, vaporizers or similar products) inside or outside of the arena.
