Ousmane Dembele’s story at PSG is one of redemption. Once hailed as a generational talent, Dembele struggled through an injury-plagued and inconsistent spell at Barcelona.
But in August 2023, Paris Saint-Germain triggered his €50.4 million release clause, offering him a fresh start.
PSG viewed him as a key figure in their push for European success, and his first season in Paris had flashes of brilliance. He delivered key goals against Monaco and his former club Barcelona, and though his overall goal tally was modest, his wing play remained electric.
Dembele capped off the 2023–24 campaign by scoring in the Coupe de France final against Lyon, helping PSG complete a domestic double.

On March 11, he netted a crucial equalizer against Liverpool in the Champions League round of 16 second leg, before converting his penalty in the shootout to send PSG to the quarterfinal.
