Chelsea are set for a huge summer transfer window that will see both arrivals and departures in equal measure.
Though the Blues find themselves in fifth in the Premier League table and in the semi-finals of the UEFA Conference League, they are set to back Enzo Maresca in the upcoming summer transfer window and give him a squad that can compete for titles next season.
If a report by TEAMtalk is to be believed, Chelsea are willing to splash the cash on Dean Huijsen from Bournemouth.
The 20-year-old has had a breakthrough season for the Cherries and has established himself as one of the most promising centre-backs in the world. In the process, he has also attracted attention from Liverpool, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.
But despite the stiff competition from across the football world, Chelsea are certain that they can get their man, who has a release clause of £50 million in his contract at Bournemouth.
On the back of the kind of season that Huijsen has had for the Cherries, he is almost certain to leave the Vitality Stadium in the summer. It is only a matter of who manages to secure his signature, and if Chelsea’s intent is anything to go by, he will most likely be headed to Stamford Bridge before the start of the next season.

A new defensive duo for Chelsea next season
The report further states that Chelsea also have their sights set on Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi and are monitoring his situation very closely.
It is important to note that the Englishman came through the ranks at Stamford Bridge, and Chelsea would like him to return to the club.
Guehi is out of contract at Palace in the summer of 2026, and the Eagles are open to selling him this summer to maximise their profit, without losing him on a free transfer next summer.
Palace value Guehi at £40 million and are willing to sell him for that amount in the summer transfer window. If Chelsea manages to sign both Huijsen and Guehi, we could see a new pairing in the heart of Chelsea’s defence next season.
