Cristiano Ronaldo and his Al Nassr team endured disappointment in 2023/24 as they failed to win the Saudi Pro League or the AFC Champions League.
After Sadio Mane, Seko Fofana, Marcelo Brozovic, Aymeric Laporte and Alex Telles all joined the squad for 2023/24, Al Nassr hoped they would have enough to take them over the top after finishing just short in every competition in 2022/23.
Al Nassr finished in second place in the 2022/23 Saudi Pro League and also fell in the semifinals of the King Cup and the Saudi Super Cup.
The 39-year-old Ronaldo captained his team to silverware, winning the Arab Club Champions Cup (also known as the King Salman Club Cup) with a 2-1 defeat of rivals Al Hilal at the start of 2023/24. However, at home and abroad in the Saudi Pro League and AFC Champions League, things did not go to plan.
Ronaldo is hoping to lead the Riyadh team to glory in 2024/25.

When is Ronaldo’s next Al Nassr match?
Ronaldo was on target as Al Nassr thrashed J.League giants Yokohama F. Marinos 4-1 on Saturday, April 26 in the quarterfinals of the AFC Champions League.
Next up for Stefano Pioli’s men in the finals series is more Japanese opposition in the form of Kawasaki Frontale in a Wednesday, April 30 semifinal.
