Chelsea are battling to secure a spot in the UEFA Champions League for next season as they aim for fifth spot in the Premier League ahead of rivals Nottingham Forest.
The Blues have endured a mixed overall campaign as Enzo Maresca’s men have struggled for consistency in his debut season.
If the Blues do miss out of UCL qualification for 2025/26, there could serious implications on the Italian’s future at the club, alongside a dent to his summer transfer budget.
Maresca is expected to stick to his preference of bringing elite talent to Stamford Bridge, with reports from Caughtoffside indicating he wants to sign highly-rated Juventus youngster Kenan Yildiz.
The Turkey international has been one of the standout U21 players in Europe this season with Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United also monitoring his rise in Turin.
The main stumbling block to a possible deal could be Juventus’ determination to keep the 19-year-old in Serie A and they could quotes interested parties in the region of €100m [$115m] for their wonderkid.

Will Yildiz leave Juventus?
Yildiz has grabbed headlines with his performances at Juventus since the start of 2025 and he looks committed to the project under Igor Tudor.
However, things will get spicier if the Bianconeri fail to qualify for the Champions League next season. The Turkish youngster will want to take the next step at highest level, and his entourage could listen to offers from England.
Yildiz has already netted eight goals and laid on three assists in 45 games this season across all competitions, with a versatility to slot on the flanks, play in midfield or as a striker.
Chelsea are becoming a home for leading European talent to develop and kick on in their career and a possible move for Yildiz will not be the only summer arrival at the club.
Maresca has already secured a double transfer deal for Sporting CP duo Geovany Quenda and Dario Esugo alongside Brazilian sensation Estevao.
