Bayern Munich are expected to make some changes in the upcoming summer transfer window. But before that, the primary concern was to tie down the players nearing contract expiration at the end of this season.
The Bavarians did exceedingly well to hold onto their crucial players, including the likes of Joshua Kimmich, Alphonso Davies and Jamal Musiala.
The team management have already shared their stance of letting club legend Thomas Muller leave the club following his 25-year association with the club.
So this leaves Bayern with Leroy Sane and Eric Dier, and the Bavarians are reportedly closing down on renewing the 29-year-old winger’s contract.
According to BILD journalists Christian Falk and Tobi Altschaffl, Sane has reached an agreement with the team to sign a three-year contract until 2028.
He has reportedly accepted a pay cut by agreeing to a €10 million fixed salary, along with €5 million included in bonuses.

Leroy Sane set to sign new Bayern contract amid other clubs offer
Recent reports suggest that the German winger snubbed an offer from Arsenal to renew his contract with Bayern. The report also adds how Jamal Musiala’s friendship with Sane impacted his decision to stay in Bavaria.
However, the biggest boost for the German giants is the 29-year-old agreeing to take a pay cut whilst signing a new contract.
His current deal pays him €15 million along with a €5 million bonus. But the reported new deal will see him earn a €10 million salary along with a €5 million performance bonus.
The German international joined the Bavarians in 2020 from Manchester City and has been a crucial first-team member throughout the five years.
Sane has mustered 216 appearances for the club whilst scoring 59 goals. The versatile winger has netted 11 goals this season in 40 matches across competitions. Nine of his goals have come in the 26 Bundesliga matches this season.
Sane will continue to play a big role under manager Kompany as the Belgian views him as a pivotal player in his system.
