All along, Ashton Jeanty has been penciled in as a Las Vegas Raiders draft pick.
But then the Jacksonville Jaguars came into the picture earlier this week.
Now? The Chicago Bears are leading the charge.
Chicago is officially the betting favorite on multiple sportsbooks to land Jeanty in Thursday night’s NFL Draft first round.
DraftKings Sportsbook lists Jeanty as -190 to join the Bears as of 5 p.m. ET on Thursday.
That’s a gigantic development, and one that would be huge for the future of a franchise that just got QB Caleb Williams at No. 1 overall last year and has now brought in an exciting first-year coach in Ben Johnson.
The Bears currently have the No. 10 pick, but they’re in heavy discussions to move up, according to The Athletic’s Dianna Russini.

Chicago would likely give up No. 10, maybe a Day 2 pick and potentially one more future pick to get up and take Jeanty.
The Bears would have to make the deal with the Jags at No. 5, because otherwise Jeanty might go to either Jacksonville or Vegas before a trade-up could take full effect.
The Patriots could always shock the board by taking Jeanty at No. 4, but right now, the Bears are believed by the smart money to be in the driver’s seat. They’ve just got to get the deal over the line, and then they’ll have another potential offensive superstar.
