The Cubs are the talk of the baseball world of late, and for good reason.
The team is 16-10 and just took the season series over the powerhouse Dodgers. What’s more, Pete Crow-Armstrong looks like he might just be the best player in the NL.
Jon Greenberg of The Athletic certainly agrees.
“Pete Crow-Armstrong has the power and the speed and the Cubs could just be the best in the National League,” Greenberg wrote on X formerly known as Twitter.
Crow-Armstrong finished the day 3-for-4 and is hitting .472 with a 1.570 OPS over his last nine games.

“It’s not one moment, it’s a culmination of getting better,” Manager Craig Counsell said of PCA “Pete hit a double on a changeup to left field [on Saturday]. It’s not ‘the moment,’ but it just shows you, would he have done that in May of last year? Right? I remember I went up right up to [assistant hitting coach John] Mallee and just said, ‘We’re making progress.’

This is what MLB fans and pundits alike knew the Cubs were capable of. The NL Central is a weak division, and with the Cubs’ young talent, was clearly up for the taking.
Now, it’s just great to see the Cubbies actually do it.
PCA has been a huge reason why, and looks to get better as the season goes on.
“He’s a good kid, good for baseball,” Dodgers Manager Dave Roberts said.
