The New York Giants have reportedly been fielding trade offers from teams interested in moving up to the No. 3 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
According to Dianna Russini of The Athletic, the Giants are among a trio of teams who have been receiving trade calls about their respective picks. The other two teams are the Cleveland Browns (No. 2 overall) and New England Patriots (No. 4 overall).
Russini reported that the majority of teams are looking to trade up for Colorado star and Heisman Award winner Travis Hunter.
“The Browns, Giants and Patriots are fielding calls for the Nos. 2, 3, and 4 picks, per league sources. The majority of teams looking to move up see Colorado CB/WR Travis Hunter as their target should they be able to entice one of those teams, particularly Cleveland, with a suitable package. All three teams are listening,” Russini wrote.
It’s no surprise that teams are looking to move up for Hunter considering Miami quarterback Cam Ward is expected to go off the board with the No. 1 overall pick to the Tennessee Titans. The Browns and Giants both remain wild cards in this draft.

It will be interesting to see what route the Giants take when they are on the clock. Depending on what the Browns do, it’s very possible the Giants are looking at a group of options that includes quarterback Shedeur Sanders, edge rusher Abdul Carter or a trade-down scenario.
Given the arrivals of Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston, the Giants don’t have to force a quarterback selection at No. 3 overall if they don’t feel it necessary. That could lead to them grabbing a blue-chip prospect in Carter despite having Kayvon Thibodeaux and Brian Burns already on the roster.
With just hours until the draft officially arrives, the Giants will be a team that everyone has their eyes on.
