The Chicago Bears have the 10th overall pick in the NFL Draft. Their pick could become very valuable to quarterback-needy teams if the draft plays out in a specific way.
If Shedeur Sanders starts to slide, the Pittsburgh Steelers could look to make a blockbuster move and try to get Sanders. Of course, Sanders would have to make it past the New Orleans Saints. AthlonSports’ Luke Easterling predicted the Saints would trade back, and then the Steelers would make a trade with the Bears to take Sanders with the 10th overall pick
“And that’s why you don’t get cute and trade back if there’s a quarterback you want on the board,” wrote Easterling of the Saints. “By moving back even just a few spots, the Saints open the door for the Steelers, who just might be desperate enough to send a third-round pick this year and a second-rounder next year to the Bears (who narrowly miss out on Jeanty) and land a high-floor, pro-ready passer in Sanders who can handle the pressure that comes with leading such a storied franchise.”
The Steelers are still waiting for Aaron Rodgers to decide whether to play for the team. However, they cannot afford to go the whole offseason without a quarterback. If the draft rolls around and Rodgers is still a free agent, the Steelers may grow tired of waiting.
With reports that Sanders may actually slip out of the top 10 picks, the Steelers may have an opportunity to land Sanders, which they likely previously thought was not a possibility.

Sanders is younger and has the tools to be a franchise quarterback. If Rodgers cannot make a decision by draft day, the Steelers could jump on the opportunity to take Sanders.
