Jon Rahm almost pulled an unthinkable Bo Jackson move at the Masters

Jon Rahm was not enjoying his start at the Masters.

He struggled on the front-nine, sitting at 2-over through eight holes heading to the ninth, where it got worse.

Off the tee, Rahm’s drive quickly tailed right, well into the trees.

His disappointment started with a quick drop of his club, exasperated with how his day was going.

And then Rahm nearly did the unthinkable: He took the driver in both hands and angled it straight downward toward his knee.

Rahm stopped just before snapping his club in half. As the announcers said. he probably needs that the rest of the round.

Professional golfers are often much like the rest of the golfing population. It’s a tough game.

For Rahm on Thursday at Augusta National, the difficulty almost led to one less club in his bag.
