Deshaun Watson just proved he’s not afraid to go big when it comes to his love for Jilly Anais.
The Cleveland Browns quarterback reportedly spent a jaw-dropping $2 million on the diamond ring he proposed to Anais with, some sources saying it could even reach $2.5 million, according to TMZ Sports.
According to the jeweler, Vikar Ahmed, who spoke with the outlet in an article shared on Monday, March 17, the luxury piece, nicknamed “The Glory Treasure,” boasts a massive 20-carat diamond, featuring impeccable D-E-F color grading and clarity from IF to VVS. Crafted in Germany’s gemstone capital, Idar-Oberstein, the stunning ring is set in 18k white gold and includes a D center diamond, which Ahmed says is one of the rarest and purest chemical diamonds in the world.
Ahmed, who collaborated with Watson, 29, for seven months to create the perfect ring, described it as “not just a piece of jewelry” but a “declaration of commitment” and “celebration of craftsmanship.” He added that the ring’s design and story represent the beauty of love and high jewelry.
The couple have been together since 2019 after Watson slid into Anais’ DMs. After signing a $230 million, five-year deal with the Browns in 2022, the athlete certainly had the means to splurge on a gift for his lady. Watson popped the question to the cookbook author over the weekend, with Anais, 29, announcing the news on Sunday, March 16, in an Instagram post with the caption, “Mrs. Watson Loading…”
