LeBron James has been close friends with Dwyane Wade and Carmelo Anthony for many years.
So in the recent dispute between the Los Angeles Lakers’ superstar and ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith over James’ son, it’s only natural that Wade and Anthony have information and opinions.
The two retired players shared their thoughts in a recent sit-down conversation with one another that’s been circulating on social media.

“We’ve never seen LeBron do that,” Wade said of James confronting Smith. “He’s always been so even-keeled, and sometimes you want him to jump, you want him to go.”
Wade called it “respect” for James to confront Smith like that.
“I would’ve walked up to him and said something, too,” Wade added.
Wade understood Smith’s side, too, knowing that that’s his job and seeing the bigger picture.
“‘Bron did put some heat on Bronny,” Wade said. “When he put out that tweet that he’s better than some of these cats in the NBA, they checked that, like, OK.”
Anthony then weighed in with his take.
“This has been a build-up for 22 years,” Anthony said. “This ain’t got nothing to do with Bronny. Bronny is just part of the conversation now.”
Anthony continued, “We haven’t seen (Bronny) fully. We don’t know what he can do. But we also put too much on it.”
Former NBA star Gilbert Arenas recently said Bronny could’ve competed for NBA Rookie of the Year if he had more minutes.
It won’t be the end of this, but it’s cool to hear Wade and Anthony’s thoughts on the matter.
“I don’t think anybody was asking ‘Bron to approach anybody,” Anthony concluded.
