As the buildup to the 2026 FIFA World Cup continues, the U.S. men’s national team will contest the final two matches of this year’s CONCACAF Nations League.
Mauricio Pochettino will hope to defend the USMNT’s stranglehold on the competition, with the host nation having won each of the first three titles in the tournament’s history.
The U.S. will play Panama in the semifinals, hoping to earn a spot in the final against Canada or Mexico who will meet in the other semifinal match, with all games taking place at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
The squad is littered with first-team regulars who return to the mix for the first time since knocking off Jamaica in the quarterfinals back in November.
The Sporting News brings you a breakdown of the roster, with a keen eye on who is in and who misses out.

Regulars return to USMNT squad
After an MLS-laden squad played to a January camp win over Venezuela, many of the first-team regulars return for this official FIFA international break.
Christian Pulisic headlines the group, with Weston McKennie and Antonee Robinson also included.
The roster also boasts the first USMNT call-up for Gio Reyna under Pochettino, while Cameron Carter-Vickers is in the same boat. Midfield leader Tyler Adams is back in the squad for the first time since last summer’s Copa America, having finally shaken a number of nagging injuries that stunted his first half of the 2024/25 season.
The surprise names are all up front, as Pochettino has to replace a few injured forwards. Joining Josh Sargent, who is the favorite to lead the line, is Patrick Agyemang and Brian White who won spots with their performances in January camp.
Who missed the cut for March 2025 Nations League?
There are a few players still missing from the USMNT squad, either by coach’s decision or injury.
The absence of injured strikers Ricardo Pepi and Folarin Balogun leaves a significant hole up front. Haji Wright is also not in the mix having only just returned from a months-long ankle injury, but Brandon Vazquez and Jesus Ferreira still didn’t make the cut to fill the position, and neither did Brenden Aaronson, Cade Cowell or Alejandro Zendejas on the wing.
Malik Tillman remains out injured, which is a big loss for the U.S. given how electric his form has been this season. Luca de la Torre‘s move to MLS has seen him drop in the midfield pecking order, even as he has helped San Diego FC to a strong start to their inaugural season. Promising young midfielder Benjamin Cremaschi will have to keep waiting for his chance in a major tournament after hanging around for a few less competitive matches.
Walker Zimmerman is no longer an option at center-back, while John Tolkin‘s move to Germany has yet to see him move into the first-choice mix. Sergino Dest just returned to action from his ACL tear days ago, making his first appearance for PSV since his injury last spring, but he still needs to build fitness before he can be ready for international duty.
