Kevin Durant claps back at Skip Bayless with snappy response to ‘semi-retired’ tweet

Kevin Durant’s Twitter fingers are at it again. Or are they X fingers?

Either way, KD took to the social media platform Sunday to give his thoughts on recent comments from Skip Bayless.

Bayless said Saturday that Durant looks “semi-retired” to him.

The 36-year old didn’t appreciate that.

“F— it, we’re both washed,” Durant wrote in a post on X. “It was a great run.”

Bayless, 73, left ESPN’s First Take in 2016 to work at Fox Sports. Ironically, he’s having Stephen A. Smith on his show Monday.

Durant is averaging 26.9 points per game this season for the Phoenix Suns while shooting better than 52 percent from the floor.

And is he is prone to do, KD went on a Twitter reply spree after his initial quote tweet of Bayless.

To one post, which wondered if Bayless had any fans, Durant replied with the truth: “Why do u think he’s paid like a 3 and D small ball 4??? Cuz people subscribe to all things skip. It’s a lucrative business when u mention him because fans love him and hate him.”

And when one poster, named Javi, asked Durant what heights he had reached in his life, KD replied, “My life in general javi.”

Durant has been snippy in real life lately, too. There was controversy over his relationship with Phoenix coach Mike Budenholzer, but Durant sat at the press conference microphone and confidently backed up his head coach.

And for what it’s worth: If Bayless is anything like Stephen A. in the recent dispute with LeBron James, Skip will go on Monday’s show and talk all about this.
