Where is the 2025 Laver Cup?
The location of the Laver Cup rotates between Europe and cities in the rest of the world each year.
In 2025, the Chase Center in San Francisco will host the Laver Cup for the first time.
The venue is home to NBA’s Golden State Warriors and WNBA’s Golden State Valkyries.
Chase Center has a capacity of 18,000 for basketball and 19,500 for concerts, with its tennis capacity likely to be somewhere between the two.
This will be the third time the event has been played in the United States, with the Laver Cup previously having been held at the United Center in Chicago (2018) and Boston’s TD Garden (2021).
What surface is the Laver Cup played on?
This year’s tournament will once again be played on an indoor hard-court surface, like the previous seven editions.
However, the hard-court surface used for the Laver Cup is also covered with a layer of sand, which is designed to slow play down and make the rallies longer.

What players are on Team World and Team Europe?
The teams for the 2025 Laver Cup will be made up of the best tennis players on the planet.
Based on ATP rankings at the conclusion of the French Open at Roland-Garros, the top three ranked players in each of the Europe and World region will be invited to play in the Laver Cup.
If this invitation is declined, the next best-ranked player will be invited, until three players are picked for each team.
Each captain can also select three players for their team as “Captain’s Picks”, with all three needing to be nominated by the start of the US Open.
For Team Europe, Noah has already picked Alexander Zverev and Carlos Alcaraz, while Agassi has selected Taylor Fritz and Ben Shelton for Team World.
Each skipper has one Captain’s Pick selection remaining.

What is the Laver Cup 2025 format and how does scoring work?
Each day, three singles matches and one doubles match are played, to the best of three sets, with the last being disputed as a 10-point tie-break match format.
A team wins by reaching 13 points. Friday’s wins are worth one point, Saturday’s two points and Sunday’s three points — which ensures that no team can become champion before the last day.
If the competition is tied after 12 matches, a final overtime doubles match is played.
All players play at least one singles match between Friday and Saturday and at least four of them participate in doubles.
If only one match is required to win on Sunday, an exhibition match will be played following the trophy ceremony.
