Nakatani (29-0) is a multi-division world champion, holding gold at flyweight, super flyweight, and bantamweight. The 27-year-old has 22 wins via knockout.

If he successfully defends the bantamweight belt for a third time, there’s a chance Nakatani could face Naoya Inoue in a super fight. The former could also compete in unification fights within the division. For now, Nakatani must prepare for the challenge ahead.

“I’m looking at a tall opponent,” Nakatani told BoxingScene, “and I think in this fight I will be able to show you all more of my style… I know he (Cuellar) is tall, and I have seen some of his fights on video. His lead hand with hooks and uppercuts are very dangerous.”

The over 5-8 Cuellar (28-0) competes outside Mexico for the first time. The 23-year-old has 18 wins via knockout and won two fights in 2024.
