The 4 Nations Face-Off gets underway Wednesday night, bringing fans the start of the highlight-anticipated international tournament.
The best players in the NHL that hail from the USA, Canada. Sweden and Finland are all gathered in two major North American cities for the next nine days, as the first best-on-best tournament since the 2016 World Cup of Hockey is commencing.
It may not be the Olympics, but Canada fans — as well as Americans, unfortunately — remember the environment that it was like in Vancouver when Sidney Crosby scored the golden goal against Team USA in the final, lifting Canada to the summit of the hockey mountain. Part of the appeal of these games is the massive audience that it draws.
As mentioned, it is not just one city that is hosting these games. The first four contests are being held in Canada, but the United States switches as the home of the venue for the action.
Here is where the 4 Nations Face-Off is being held.

Where is the 4 Nations Face-Off?
There is not simply one nation hosting the 4 Nations. Both North American countries get a handful of games in front of their home crowds, with Montreal hosting the first four games before Boston handles the final three, including the championship.
The games in Montreal will be held at the Bell Centre, the home of the NHL’s Canadians. In Boston, those matchups will take place at TD Garden, the home of the Bruins.
Where is USA vs. Canada?
USA vs. Canada is set to be the final game of the Montreal slate.
The crowd at the Bell Centre is being treated to not just one but two rivalry games on Saturday, Feb. 16, with Sweden-Finland as the co-main event before USA and Canada battle it out to conclude the night.
Where is the 4 Nations Face-Off championship?
While Montreal gets the rivalry contests, Boston is where the champion will be crowned.
TD Garden will be the site for the championship game of the 4 Nations Face-Off. There is no third-place game, so just the final is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 20.
