We are now heading towards crunch time in the 2024/25 Premier League season, with most teams having just 14 games left.
Liverpool, as they have for much of the campaign, still lead the table, while defending champions Manchester City are almost certain to see their four-year league trophy streak end.
Arsenal are offering the sternest challenge to Arne Slot’s Reds, but they must still make up a gap at the top of the standings, and so far, Liverpool have not looked like allowing them to do so. At the other end, the relegation battle is beginning to be whittled down to just a handful of anxious sides.
However, all 20 teams will get a break from league play over the weekend of February 8-9. The Sporting News explains why.

Why are there no Premier League games this weekend?
The Premier League takes a break over the weekend of February 8-9 as the FA Cup fourth-round matches take place instead.
With several EPL sides still in the competition, it is far simpler to skip a weekend rather than attempt to schedule a couple of top-flight games, and rearrange all the others.
