Denver Broncos could choose one of these tight ends if Tyler Warren slips away

The Denver Broncos should be aggressively seeking an athletic, game-changing tight end this offseason. They won’t find one sitting on the free-agent market but this draft class is stocked with strong tight end prospects.

Tyler Warren is the No. 1 option at the tight end position but after seeing how much of a difference Brock Bowers made for the Las Vegas Raiders this season, teams around the league are going to want their own version and that leads to a really good chance that Warren is long gone before the Broncos go on the clock with the No. 20 overall pick.

If the Broncos can’t find a way to land Warren, there are some great secondary options.

Tight ends Broncos could draft if Tyler Warren is off the board

Colston Loveland, Michigan

Colston Loveland is another prototypical tight end prospect and he comes from one of the top programs in the country. He will be a popular mock draft pick to the Broncos but like Warren, he will cost a first-round pick.

Loveland is a sure-handed, 6-foot-5 tight end with a huge catch radius. He can attack defenses down the field and that is what Denver needs from this position in order to make the offense more dynamic.

Harold Fannin Jr., Bowling Green

Playing at a smaller school where there isn’t nearly as much of a spotlight, Harold Fannin put together a massive junior season in 2024.

He led the entire nation with 117 receptions and had 1,555 yards and 10 touchdowns on the year. He should be the consensus No. 3 tight end behind Warren and Loveland but he should be able to be as big of a matchup nightmare at the pro level as each of them.

Gunnar Helm, Texas

This would be a homecoming of sorts at Gunnar Helm was born in Englewood, Colorado and played at Cherry Creek High School before heading to Austin for college.

Many Broncos fans may see him as the best overall option for the team as the Broncos would not have to use a first-round pick to get him. He could still be on the board in round three.

Elijah Arroyo, Miami

Elijah Arroyo is likely still a project at the next level so he may not be an immediate contributor if selected, but he did show himself to be a solid red-zone option for the Hurricanes this season, catching seven touchdown passes.
