The race tracks have been dormant for a couple months, but drivers will have their tires screeching yet again this weekend.
The NASCAR Cup Series returns for the 2025 season with the Cook Out Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium. Just like last year, the exhibition race is the first event of the year.
Joey Logano won the 2024 Cup Series championship edging out Ryan Blaney, William Byron and Tyler Reddick for the title. Logano had four wins during the season with seven top-five finishes and 14 top-10 finishes.
The Cook Out Clash at Bowman Gray is a 200-lap race that lasts 50.6 miles. It’s a short race compared to the rest of the season’s contests. Denny Hamlin won the Cook Out Clash in 2024 at the LA Memorial Coliseum.
