Is LeBron James playing tonight? What latest injury report says about Lakers star’s status vs. 76ers

The Lakers are in the mix of the playoff race in the Western Conference. However, that comes with a little adversity, as both LeBron James and Anthony Davis are battling injuries.

James specifically has been on the injury report with “left foot injury management” since December despite earning yet another All-Star starting nod. As Los Angeles embarks on an East Coast road trip, James will continue to monitor his left foot to make sure he doesn’t aggravate the injury.

Here’s the latest on James’ status when the Lakers play the 76ers on Tuesday.

Is LeBron James playing tonight?

James will start against the 76ers, the Lakers announced early Tuesday evening.

James was previously listed as probable to participate, the result of a left foot injury that he’s battled for much of the season.

James missed two games with the injury in early December, but he’s played in all but one game since despite continuing to remain on the injury report with “left foot management.” Los Angeles’ duel with Philadelphia represents the second leg of a road back-to-back; the Lakers downed the Hornets in Charlotte, 112-107, on Monday night.

This will be the Los Angeles’ second game against the 76ers this season. The Lakers beat Philadelphia at home earlier in the year and James had a strong game, recording his second triple-double of the season with 21 points, 13 assists and 12 rebounds.
