Eagles vs. Commanders live score, updates, highlights from 2025 NFC championship game

The Cinderella run for the Commanders continues into the 2025 NFC championship game. After upsetting the top-seeded Lions last week, the Commanders will head to face the Eagles in Philadelphia for a chance to secure a Super Bowl 59 berth.

Washington’s playoff run has been spurred by sensational play from rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels. His playmaking ability, both through the air and on the ground, has allowed the Commanders to come out on top in the most crucial moments of each playoff game.

Head coach Dan Quinn also deserves plenty of credit for the recent success in Washington. His aggressive mentality on the offensive side of the ball has regularly put the Commanders in a position to win football games.

And with Daniels under center, the offense has been able to execute in these high-leverage situations. Washington has now converted six of nine fourth-down attempts in the playoffs, and their success on these plays has played a pivotal role in the two wins this postseason.

The Philadelphia defense will be tasked with containing Daniels and stymying the Washington offense on fourth down. The Eagles have largely been successful at keeping opposing offenses in check this season, ranking second in scoring defense and first in total defense. But Daniels had their number the last time these two teams met. He tossed five touchdowns and led the Commanders to a thrilling 36-33 comeback victory in Week 16.

If Daniels is wheeling and dealing once again, the Eagles’ offense is going to have to step up to the plate. Saquon Barkley is fresh off a 205-yard performance in the divisional round and is more than capable of taking over this game. But don’t discount the Philly passing attack either. A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith are both capable of being explosive playmakers when their name is called.
