Sabalenka, the top seed, is aiming to become the first woman since Martina Hingis in 1999 to win three straight Australian Open singles titles. She has been in imperious form in Melbourne and has only dropped one set so far.
Keys, on the other hand, is gunning for her first Grand Slam title and stunned Iga Swiatek in the semifinal. Saturday’s match will be Keys’ second major final after the 2017 US Open final, where she lost to compatriot Sloane Stephens.
