Timberwolves superstar Anthony Edwards addresses Minnesota’s lack of team chemistry

After making a perilous offseason blockbuster trade, the Minnesota Timberwolves have been fighting through team chemistry issues all season. Working in Julius Randle and Donte DiVincenzo hasn’t been as easy as the team anticipated.

While DiVincenzo has turned around his season since being added to the starting lineup (before the toe injury), Randle has yet to consistently play to his potential. Playing alongside Rudy Gobert has not brought out the best that Randle is capable of producing.

The players are fully aware of their chemistry woes. Superstar Anthony Edwards addressed the team’s struggles with their chemistry.

“Sometimes it’s tough because like looking at everybody, and everybody got a different agenda. It’s like, what the [expletive] am I supposed to say? I’m trying to get better in that aspect to figure out what the hell to say to get everybody on the same agenda because everybody right now is on different agendas,” Edwards told reporters.

At 22-19, there is too much talent on the Wolves to be scratching and clawing for a playoff spot. The players know they’re better than that. Edwards has been extremely vocal about the team all season long. From calling the team out for being soft, to cheering teammates on in private workouts, and calling the team “terrible.”

After a much-needed victory on the road over the New York Knicks, the team is hoping that Edwards comments spark another winning streak. Last time he called the team out, they won six consecutive games.

If Minnesota decides to stick with the current roster, instead of making a move at the deadline, the glaring problems need addressed. For the team to be learning how to play together in late-January is a huge problem. With some things trending in a positive direction, the Wolves are hopeful they can turn the corner for the rest of the season.
