Soccer season has arrived! Tickets have been flying for the U.S. Men’s National Team’s international friendlies, including their Jan. 22 game against Costa Rica.
The two countries will kick things off on American soil, specifically at Inter&Co Stadium (formerly Exploria Stadium) in Orlando.
Costa Rica might be a small country, but it packs quite the punch on the soccer field. It has qualified for the Wold Cup on six different occasions, including each of the past three. Even in a friendly, the visitors will make things difficult for the U.S. Men’s National Team.
But it will be a quality test for the home team as it balances new players in Mauricio Pochettino’s fifth match as U.S. manager. They’ll be without typical players like captain Christian Pulisic as the friendly falls outside the FIFA international window. That just means fans in attendance will be the first to see stars, whether they’re playing for a starting spot or making their debut for their country.
