Real Madrid vs. Barcelona live score: Spanish Super Cup final result, updates, stats as Clasico rivals clash in Supercopa

Real Madrid and Barcelona meet once more in the final of the Spanish Super Cup.

Los Blancos eased past Mallorca 3-0 at the semifinal stage in 2025, a day after Barca had defeated Athletic Club 2-0.

These two teams met in the previous two Supercopa finals, the Catalans winning 3-1 in 2023 before Madrid gained revenge last year with a 4-1 win.

Barca claimed a famous 4-0 La Liga victory at the Santiago Bernabeu back in October, but who will emerge triumphant this time?

Real Madrid vs. Barcelona live updates, highlights, and commentary

64 mins: Tchouameni, who has just been booked for scything down Olmo, is off for Luka Modric. Ancelotti has swiftly abandoned his more defensive setup to chase the game.

60 mins: GOAL! RODRYGO SCORES FROM THE FREE-KICK! Pena gets his hand to the shot, but it’s too powerful to keep out, and the ball flies in off the right-hand post. This is a remarkable game of football.

59 mins: Two changes for Barca: Lamine Yamal is off for replacement keeper Inaki Pena. Dani Olmo is on for Gavi.

57 mins: RED CARD! The referee awards Madrid the foul and Szczesny is sent off! I can’t keep up with his game. Incredible stuff.

54 mins: Mbappe is brought down by Szczesny, and the referee says no foul! In fact, he has shown the forward a booking for protesting. It all came from Bellingham pouncing on a loose ball and playing Mbappe through. Szczesny came way off his line, and it looks like he did make contact. GIL MANZANO HEADS TO THE MONITOR!

52 mins: Barca fans are cheering every touch of the ball. Rudiger barges over Lamine Yamal out of frustration. Ancelotti makes another change, with Raul Asencio on for Vazquez. It looks like they have switched to a back three and wingbacks, but it’s too little, too late.

48 mins: GOAL! RAPHINHA MAKES IT 5-1! What is happening in this game?? Straight from the goal kick, Casado plays a first-time pass in behind the high Madrid back line, and Raphinha is away. He gets into the box, cuts back onto his left foot, and places a finish beyond Courtois. Exceptional from Raphinha, but what on earth is the Madrid defence doing?

48 mins: RODRYGO OFF THE BAR! Brilliant from Vinicius to get past Kounde and clip a cross towards the far post. Rodrygo is completely unmarked, but his volley clatters off the woodwork and behind for a goal kick.

47 mins: It looks a long shot, but if Madrid can get the next goal, the comeback could be on. Barca’s defending has not always looked solid here.

Kickoff: Second half

Ancelotti has made one change, with Dani Ceballos on for Camavinga, who was basically one foul away from a second yellow card.

Halftime

And breathe. What an incredible game in Jeddah. And what does Carlo Ancelotti say after that?

45+10 mins: GOAL! BALDE MAKES IT 4-1! Madrid make a complete mess of a short corner, and Barca break at speed. Lamine Yamal plays it to Raphinha, who turns back inside and feeds it to Balde, whose low finish is right into the corner. What a first half for the Catalans!

Watch in USA:

45+8 mins: Martinez is booked for saying something to the officials in the dugout. Rodrygo swings in a free-kick from deep, but Barca can clear.

45+6 mins: WHAT A SAVE! From a tight angle, Balde fires a shot towards the high part of Courtois’ net, but he gets a hand up to tip the ball over the bar. Incredible reflexes.

45+4 mins: Vazquez and Rodrygo almost force an opportunity in the Barca box, but the ball eventually falls to Szczesny to collect. At the other end, Valverde makes a vital sliding challenge to stop Raphinha having a clear run at goal.

45 mins: Camavinga, who was booked for the foul on Gavi that resulted in the penalty, grabs Lamine Yamal around the waist as the Barca winger looks to charge into the Madrid half. The referee chooses not to show a second yellow card. Camavinga can consider himself extremely lucky.

41 mins: NEARLY 4-1! Lewandowski glances a header just over the bar under pressure from Rudiger. Madrid need to get a grip on this game, and quickly.

39 mins: GOAL! RAPHINHA MAKES IT 3-1! Kounde plays a stunning cross from deep and drops the ball right onto the head of Raphinha, who runs in between Vazquez and Tchouameni. From 12 yards out, he directs an outstanding header into the bottom-left corner. Brilliant goal, and Barca lead by two!

Watch in USA:

36 mins: GOAL! NO MISTAKE FROM LEWANDOWSKI! Courtois goes the right way, but he has no chance of keeping that one out. Barca have turned it around!

Watch in USA:

35 mins: PENALTY! The referee points to the spot after checking the replay. Gavi’s fall was theatrical, but the contact on his thigh was clear.

33 mins: Barcelona want a penalty for a foul on Gavi from Camavinga. He might have a case — the midfielder caught up with a raised boot. VAR has told referee Jesus Gil Manzano to check the pitchside monitor…

27 mins: Big blow here for Barcelona as Inigo Martinez sits down in the centre-circle. The defender cannot continue. Ronald Araujo, heavily linked with a January exit, will come on to replace him.

24 mins: HOW HAS THAT STAYED OUT? Tchouameni’s header is fumbled by Szczesny, but the ball bobbles inches wide of the post. What a first half we’ve had so far.

22 mins: GOAL! SENSATIONAL FROM LAMINE YAMAL! Lewandowski plays a great first-time pass in behind Rudiger, and suddenly Lamine Yamal is away. He cuts in on his left foot away from Mendy and almost passes the ball right into the bottom-right corner of the net. Stunning finish. We’re level in Jeddah!

Watch in USA:

18 mins: Pedri’s deflected shot loops onto the roof of the net for a corner. The resulting delivery falls to Casado, who slices his effort well wide. Mbappe is now back on.

15 mins: Barca put the ball out as Mbappe seems to have a problem. It looks like he hurt his left ankle when he was accidently caught by Kounde. Brahim Diaz is warming up while Mbappe has the joint strapped up.

10 mins: CHANCE FOR RAPHINHA! He flashes a low shot across goal and inches wide of the right-hand post. Barca may be a goal down, but they have started well here.

8 mins: Mbappe dances through the Barca midfield but is caught by Kounde on the heel (just). He looks in the mood here.

7 mins: There was a VAR check for that goal to judge whether Vinicius fouled Casado in the build-up, but the officials decide to let the goal stand.

5 mins: GOAL! WHAT A GOAL FROM KYLIAN MBAPPE! Vinicius wins the ball back from Marc Casado and finds Mbappe, who runs straight at the Barca defence, works some space past Balde, and slots a finish past Szczeszny. Madrid strike first!

Watch in USA:

4 mins: Brilliant save from Courtois! Raphinha has a free header in the middle of the box, but the Belgian keeper gets across to parry the effort. Fine goalkeeping.

Kickoff: First half

Here we go!

15 mins before kickoff: With a quarter of an hour before we get started, there is just time to look back on these teams’ all-time head to head…

40 mins before kickoff: Barca check out their surroundings…

1 hour before kickoff: The team news is IN, and Real Madrid, as expected, stick with the same side that beat Mallorca in the semifinals. Barca are also unchanged, meaning Wojciech Szczesny keeps his place in goal. It looks like there might be a formation shift to 4-3-3.

1 hour 30 mins before kickoff: One of the big questions for this game is whether Dani Olmo features. Barca’s temporary permission to register him and Pau Victor has caused huge controversy in Spain, and no doubt Madrid will have something to say if either player is involved in a meaningful way here.

2 hours before kickoff: Once again, we have a Clasico final in the Spanish Super Cup.
