Warriors predicted to part with $62 million four-time NBA champion via trade

The Golden State Warriors have imploded after starting the year with an impressive 12-3 record.

Amid Golden State’s recent struggles, the Warriors’ superstar point guard and four-time NBA champion could soon part with the storied franchise.

“The Golden State Warriors have a once-in-a-lifetime player in Stephen Curry, yet they have not taken significant steps to sustain his greatness,” Empire Sports Media’s David McFarland wrote Thursday.

“Curry is the driving force behind the franchise, elevating the Warriors from obscurity to becoming the second-most valuable sports team in the United States.”

“However, as the team struggles to return to a point of contention, could Curry look to move out of the Bay Area?”

“The old saying “the grass isn’t always greener on the other side” may contribute to Curry’s hesitation about leaving Golden State. The legacy he has built with the team is legendary.”

“Representing just one team throughout your entire career is a luxury that belongs to a different era, and Curry has been the face of the franchise for over a decade.”

“However, the game goes on, and the ultimate goal is to win.”

“If the Warriors cannot find a strong player who can make Curry a reliable second option or even a 1B option, it may be time for him to consider the possibility of taking his talents to another team.”

Curry has done everything he can to keep the Warriors afloat this season.

Sadly, the franchise has let the 10-time All-Star down, failing to help ease Curry’s offensive workload in Year 16.

Curry, a video game-esque long-range sniper who’s a Top 10 ball handler of all time, averages 22.8 points per contest on 45.5% field goal shooting and 42.3% three-point shooting with the 18-18 Warriors.

Although the 2016 unanimous MVP stated he wants to finish his career with the Warriors, Golden State is on thin ice as they approach the Feb. 6 trade deadline.

If the Warriors want to keep Curry happy, they’ll provide him with the appropriate assistance in the Bay.
