Real Madrid vs. Mallorca lineups, expected starting 11, confirmed team news, injuries: Vinicius can play in Supercopa semifinal

Real Madrid will have Vinicius Junior available for their Supercopa de Espana semifinal against Mallorca on January 9.

The Brazil star was given a two-game suspension after being sent off against Valencia for shoving goalkeeper Stole Dimitrievski in Madrid’s 2-1 win last week.

Although the Spanish football federation issued a punishment, Madrid having been unsuccessful in their appeal, the ban only applies to Los Blancos’ next two La Liga matches. That means Vinicius is clear to play against Mallorca, and in the final should his team progress.

Coach Carlo Ancelotti otherwise has a largely fully fit squad for the trip to Saudi Arabia, where they will attempt to defend the title they won in 2024 and draw level with Barcelona in terms of all-time Supercopa trophies.

Vedat Muriqi and Cyle Larin have been tipped to start together in attack for Mallorca, with coach Jagoba Arrasate likely to stick with the 4-4-2 that served his side well against Celta Vigo and Getafe in two La Liga wins in December.

Mallorca also boast a largely clean bill of health.

Mallorca predicted lineup (4-4-2, right to left): Greif (GK) — Maffeo, Valjent, Copete, Mojica — Antonio Sanchez, Morlanes, Mascarell, Darder — Larin, Muriqi
