Mickey Mouse’s Christmas wish? Bring the NBA to Disney World.
As part of this year’s Christmas Day slate, Disney, ESPN and the NBA are teaming up for a special holiday broadcast. A presentation called “Dunk the Halls” is set to premiere on Wednesday afternoon for the game between the Knicks and Spurs.
The alternate broadcast will mirror the Knicks vs. Spurs game, animating the players and action in real time. The entire Disney crew, including Mickey and Minnie, will be cheering the teams on from the sidelines.

The “Dunk the Halls” broadcast will air on ESPN2. You can also stream the animated broadcast between the Knicks and Spurs on Sling.

What is the ‘Dunk the Halls’ game?
The alternate telecast of the Christmas Day matchup will use Sony’s Beyond Sports Technology to animate the action as it happens. The same technology has previously been used by the NFL for editions of “Funday Football,” featuring characters from “Toy Story” and “The Simpsons.”
In this version of the broadcast, classic Disney characters will all be watching, and they will even participate in a slam dunk contest at halftime.
