The NFL is coming to Netflix for Christmas Day, and for the festivities, the streaming service has put together a star-studded group of analysts and famous figures in sports media.
For the first time ever, the NFL is about to be broadcast primarily via Netflix. The league announced the new partnership in May, and Netflix will also have rights to holiday games in 2025 and 2026.
While putting together its team of broadcasters, Netflix snagged some of the most well-known football names out there.
The Sporting News fills you in on Netflix’s NFL crew for 2024, a collection of media members that have previously covered the league on networks like ESPN, Fox, CBS, NFL Network and NBC.

Who will be calling NFL games for Netflix?
In the booth, Netflix will have two broadcast teams for the Christmas Day games.
Calling Chiefs vs. Steelers in Pittsburgh will be Ian Eagle (play-by-play), Nate Burleson (analyst) and J.J. Watt (analyst). Eagle has called various premiere sports for years, including the NBA, NFL and college basketball, while both Burleson and Watt are now with CBS Sports following their respective football careers.
On the sidelines for the Kansas City vs. Pittsburgh matchup will be CBS Sports’ Melanie Collins and NFL Network’s Stacey Dales.
Netflix’s other Christmas game will be Ravens vs. Texans, with Noah Eagle (play-by-play) and Greg Olsen (analyst) calling the game. Eagle, Ian’s son, has called various sports with NBC in his young broadcasting career so far, while Olsen has been with Fox Sports as an analyst since retiring from the NFL in 2021.
Two NFL Network reporters, Jamie Erdahl and Steve Wyche, will be on the sidelines for Baltimore vs. Houston as well.

Who will appear on Netflix’s pregame shows?
Netflix’s NFL pregame shows will be just as star-studded as the in-game broadcasts.
On Christmas, the streaming service will have two pregame crews; one being in Los Angeles, the other in Pittsburgh. The group in Los Angeles includes Kay Adams, Drew Brees, Robert Griffin III, Manti Te’o and Mina Kimes.
Adams is most well-known for hosting her own FanDuel TV show, “Up & Adams,” where she often interviews famous athletes. Brees, Griffin, and Te’o, all former NFL players, have each had analyst roles since retiring from the league. Finally, Kimes has held various roles, including being an NFL analyst, with ESPN since 2014.
Netflix’s crew in Pittsburgh will be smaller, but also includes some big names. Laura Rutledge will host, while Devin and Jason McCourty are the analysts. Rutledge has been a host with ESPN since 2020, while the McCourty brothers have each taken on football analyst roles with different networks since retiring from the NFL.
That isn’t the full extent of Netflix’s new NFL talent though, as other personalities will offer supporting roles. Comedians Bert Kreischer and Nate Bargatze will appear throughout the Christmas Day streams, while NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport and rules analyst Gene Steratore will also be involved in the coverage.
