It’s the most wonderful time of the year, not just for families and friends but also for football fans and bettors. In addition to the college playoffs and bowl season, it’s also the home stretch of the 2024 NFL playoff race.
Week 17 marks the final weekend of NFL games in the calendar year of 2024, and it’s also the third consecutive week with zero teams on bye. The week begins a day earlier than usual, thanks to Netflix’s star-studded Christmas double-header. Patrick Mahomes and the reigning-champion Chiefs visit Russell Wilson and the Steelers in Game 1, then MVP candidate Lamar Jackson and the Ravens visit 2023 Rookie of the Year C.J. Then we’ll get three Saturday games, highlighted by Broncos-Bengals and Cardinals-Rams. The Seahawks and Rams are fighting for the NFC West — the Broncos and Bengals are vying for a Wild Card.
The nine games in Sunday’s main slate include multiple division-rivalry games, including Packers at Vikings and Cowboys at Eagles. Then, the Michael Penix-led Falcons face Rookie of the Year favorite Jayden Daniels and the Commanders on SNF. Lions vs. 49ers on Monday Night Football serves as the holiday cherry on top.
