Man United get January transfer boost as Enzo Maresca hints at three Chelsea exit

Manchester United fans have reason to be hopeful after Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca suggested that three of his players could leave in the upcoming January transfer window.

Speaking ahead of their upcoming clash with Everton, Maresca admitted that limited game time has left certain players considering their futures.

Who could be on their way out of Chelsea in January?

Ben Chilwell, Carney Chukwuemeka, and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall are the three names in question. Chilwell, who once played a key role at the club, has barely featured this season.

The left-back has only made one appearance in the Carabao Cup and hasn’t been included in a Premier League squad. Chilwell reportedly drew interest from Manchester United last summer, and a move could be reignited in January.

Chukwuemeka is in a similar situation. While he has seen some action in the Europa Conference League, his domestic appearances have been scarce. Maresca revealed that both players may approach him to discuss their future.

“There are players who didn’t play much, like Chilwell and Carney,” said Maresca. “They train every day, and they want to play. If they don’t, they may decide to leave. We’ll see if anyone comes to discuss it.”

Dewsbury-Hall, a summer signing from Leicester, has also struggled to secure a spot in the starting XI. While Maresca praised his work ethic, he admitted that anything can happen during the transfer window.

While exits are likely, Maresca wants to keep young players like Marc Guiu, Josh Acheampong, and Tyrique George at the club. He believes training with the first team is crucial for their development.

However, he added that their desires for more minutes will play a role in any decisions.
