The Bears have been in a downward spiral ever since their bye week in Week 7. After getting a week of rest in October, Chicago has yet to win a game since, currently riding a 7-game losing streak into Week 15.
The team has a tall task to snap the skid this week as the Bears head to Minnesota to take on the Vikings on “Monday Night Football.” The two NFC North rivals clashed just three weeks ago in a thriller, with the Vikings coming out on top in overtime, 30-27.
If the Bears want to pick up their first divisional win of the season, they may have to do so without their starting running back.
Chicago RB D’Andre Swift’s status for “MNF” is up in the air. He currently is dealing with a groin injury, which has lingered for a number of weeks.

Here is everything to know about Swift and his status for the Bears’ Week 15 game.
Will D’Andre Swift play this week? Injury update on Bears’ RB
Swift was officially listed as active for the Bears’ Week 15 “Monday Night Football” contest against the Vikings.
The running back did not practice either Thursday or Friday this past week, and he was a limited participant in the session on Saturday. However, interim head coach Thomas Brown said he was “positive” that Swift will be available for Monday’s divisional action, a good sign that he should be suiting up.

Bears’ RB Depth Chart: Who is D’Andre Swift’s Backup?
For most of the season, Swift’s backup has been Roschon Johnson. However, the second-year back is set to miss a second consecutive game after he suffered a concussion on Thanksgiving in Chicago’s loss to Detroit.
With Johnson already ruled out, if Swift can’t go, that means it will be Travis Homer leading the backfield. The 26-year-old has seen extremely limited action so far during the 2024 season. His three carries all came in the first two weeks, totaling just 16 yards on those attempts. Homer did bring in all three catches last week during the Bears’ loss to the 49ers, but managed just 11 yards on those receptions.

D’Andre Swift fantasy outlook Week 15
With Swift’s status being up in the air, it does not help fantasy owners who need to make a decision at running back ahead of Sunday’s slate. However, even if the running back is healthy, his outlook is bleak against Minnesota.
The Vikings’ defense has been stellar against the run game this season, averaging just 87.2 yards per game on the ground, which is the second-best rate in the league behind the Ravens. Minnesota’s seven rushing touchdowns allowed are tied for the second-fewest in the league.
MORE NFL:
When the Vikings and Bears played just three weeks ago, Swift finished the game with 30 yards on 13 carries and three receptions for 35 yards. He has gone three consecutive games failing to reach 40 rushing yards, and he hasn’t find the end zone since Week 11.
Healthy or not, users should look for other options outside of Swift to fill their backfield.
