Paro (25-0) beat Subriel Matias in June to win the IBF super lightweight title despite being deducted a point. The Aussie has 15 wins via knockout and has been a revelation under the Matchroom brand since signing a multi-fight deal.
The 28-year-old looks to bring it to Hitchins and has challenged his opponent to stand and fight with one of the sharpest punchers in the 140-pound division.
“Don’t run. Don’t stink it out,” Paro requested via Boxing Scene. “I’ve got grit, I’m a true warrior. I’ll face anyone anywhere, I’m not afraid to face no challenge.”
An Olympic hopeful, Hitchins (18-0) has seven wins via knockout. Signing with Matchroom, the 27-year-old had a statement-making win against Gustavo Daniel Lemos in April to become a top contender.
