📋 BEST FANTASY PICKUPS: Week 14 waiver wire guide
Fantasy QBs on Week 14 Bye
- Drake Maye, Patriots
- Brock Purdy, 49ers
- Bryce Young, Panthers
- Jaxson Dart, Giants
Which QB injuries should I monitor for fantasy Week 14?
- Josh Allen played with a cast on his non-throwing hand and was roughed up with a busted nose.
- Aaron Rodgers (wrist, nose) came out of Week 13 banged up. Mason Rudolph is standing by.
- Justin Herbert looks like he’ll play with a protective glove over his left (non-throwing) hand.
- J.J. McCarthy (concussion) looks like he’ll be active. More on him below.
Who are the best Week 14 fantasy QBs?
Dak Prescott matching up with the Lions’ injury-riddled secondary while riding a high from his CeeDee Lamb-George Pickens run occupies the top spot in our rankings. Despite a slow Week 13 start, Josh Allen surges back up toward the top in Dak’s tier, given a tasty matchup with the Bengals’ defense.
Jared Goff gets plenty of cred facing the Cowboys, but a likely absent Amon-Ra St. Brown does leave room for a lower floor than usual.
Josh Allen playing the Bengals should be the type of get-right game that would send any borderline fantasy players to the postseason.
With his impending activation, Washington’s Jayden Daniels immediately rejoins the top 10 against the shaky Vikings secondary. Now with Terry McLaurin back out wide, the Commanders offense could start ramping up through the air and continue momentum shown by backup Marcus Mariota last week on Monday Night Football.
Which fantasy QB sleepers should I pick up from the waiver wire?
The Max Brosmer experiment … did not work. With J.J. McCarthy (concussion) active, the remaining schedule is crazy-favorable — including this weekend (vs. WAS, at DAL, at NYG, vs. DET).
If you’re way behind on a playoff spot and need a blind dart throw that could explode you into position, Nine could be worth it. That’s going to be in very select spots, though.
Maybe don’t use Nine in single-QB leagues this week, but he’s a daring but possibly brilliant superflex/2QB play against Washington. Stashing him could help those in single-quarterback games just in case.
As for Week 14 help … given that most of the useful quarterbacks are rostered, Tua Tagovailoa (at Jets) and CJ Stroud (at KC) rank as the top streaming options. Both game flows and secondary matchups tilt in favor of these offenses.

Which quarterbacks rank as fantasy Week 14 busts?
Ranking Patrick Mahomes lower might be a late-week change. The Texans’ pass defense continues to excel, even though playing Daniel Jones and his fractured fibula might’ve helped them in Week 13. Mahomes is more of a low-end QB1 instead of an elite name.
The Rams just let Bryce Young’s Panthers throw all over them, but the Cardinals’ Jacoby Brissett may have trouble dealing with the pressure with a weaker offensive line. Brissett certainly belongs in the borderline QB1 conversation but statistically will probably disappoint compared to recent elite weeks.
