The Chicago Bears have really done a great job throughout the 2025 season, and a lot of that has to be credited to Caleb Williams and Ben Johnson truly fixing the offense.
If somebody had told Bears fans at the beginning of the year that they would be 8-3 and in first place in the NFC North, most would have viewed it as a surprise.
Even more surprising is that, as things currently stand, the Bears have the 25th overall pick in the first round. For a team that was consistently picking in the top 10, this just goes to show what the Bears have truly built.
Despite picking in the later part of the first round, there’s still a lot of talent out there, and Mike Renner of CBS Sports recently predicted they’d go with Kadyn Proctor, an interior offensive lineman out of Alabama.
“Proctor is likely to end up as a guard at the next level, but Ben Johnson’s offense is one where he could still play tackle. That’s because it’s so predicated on the run game, where Proctor is an easy people mover,” he wrote.
Taking an offensive lineman out of Alabama is never a bad idea, as they typically find success in the NFL.
Proctor, while he might have to move positions, would still be a great player to have up front for Williams and the Bears’ offense.
