Week 11 fantasy waiver wire: best pickups

Alec Pierce, WR, Colts (42% rostered in Yahoo Fantasy leagues)

Fantasy football managers are simply overthinking this one. Alec Pierce has been excellent for fantasy football in a thriving Indianapolis offense.

In Pierce’s last two games, he’s been targeted 20 times by Daniels Jones. The WR out of Cincinnati has 10 catches for 199 yards and one touchdown.

Pierce has been the WR16 over these past two weeks and is a viable option for your starting lineup. Alec Pierce FAAB Bid: 15%

Tre Tucker, WR, Raiders (41%)

While his first game as the top receiver did not go amazingly, Tre Tucker is still rostered far too low. After all, the Raiders did face the Denver Broncos in arguably the worst football games of the season.

We’ve seen what Tucker has been able to do with Geno Smith as his quarterback. They have a connection on those deeper concept routes.

Increasing his targets with Jakobi Meyers gone will only help the consistency of Tucker’s fantasy performances.

Although he is not an auto-start, he feels like someone who needs to be rostered at a higher percentage due to his new role. Tre Tucker FAAB Bid: 10%

Dalton Schultz, TE, Texans (34%)

For how scarce the TE position is in fantasy football, it’s surprising to see a player like Dalton Schultz so widely available.

With Davis Mills as the starter, Schultz was targeted 11 times in their Week 10 win over the Jaguars. The Texans’ TE was able to catch seven passes for 53 yards and haul in a TD.

We don’t know when C.J. Stroud will return from his concussion, but even with Stroud, Schultz was putting up solid numbers for fantasy.

Since their Week 7 bye, Schultz has been the TE11 overall. Again, nothing groundbreaking, but sometimes that’s all you need from this position. Dalton Schultz FAAB Bid: 10%

NEW – Tez Johnson, WR, Buccaneers (33%)

Since Week 5 of this season, Tez Johnson has been the WR17 overall in fantasy football. He’s been averaging 9.8 FPPG during this stretch and is still rostered at just 33%.

Johnson’s involvement in the Tampa Bay offense is primarily a result of the injuries their core has faced this season. However, with Mike Evans on IR and the news that Chris Godwin could be out until early December, Johnson feels like a steal on the waiver this late into the year.

While Emeka Egbuka is the WR1, not everything can go to him, and Baker Mayfield has shown a liking towards the 5’10” WR out of Oregon.

At such a low price, the upside of Johnson outweighs any FAAB you have to drop on him. Tez Johnson FAAB Bid: 10%

NEW – Trey Benson, RB, Cardinals (61%)

While Trey Benson is rostered in more than half of Yahoo Fantasy leagues, this is more so to serve as a reminder that he has a chance to return from IR soon.

The Cardinals don’t fully trust any of the RBs currently handling the workload, as they continue to shift them around almost every week. Benson should come back and step right back into his RB1 role.

While the offense is not insanely inspiring, there are certainly some favorable matchups down the stretch of the season where Benson would be a great start in your lineups. Trey Benson FAAB Bid: 10%

Parker Washington, WR, Jaguars (41%)

With Travis Hunter being placed on IR and Brian Thomas Jr. being out for Week 10. Someone had to step up for the Jags WR core. That someone was Parker Washington, and he truly was all over the place against the Texans.

Washington found the end zone two times, but only one was a receiving touchdown. The WR out of Penn State also scored on a kickoff return.

Trevor Lawrence looked his way six times, but Washington caught just three balls. While this performance was strictly TD dependent, Washington still offers enough upside to be rostered. Parker Washington FAAB Bid: 10%

Update (11/11 4 PM EST): Travis Hunter is set for season-ending surgery, making Parker Washington even more valuable the rest of season. His FAAB increased to reflect this news from 5% to 10%.

Jerry Jeudy, WR, Browns (57%)

While this season has been anything but consistent, Jerry Jeudy is too widely available to ignore his performance in Week 10.

The Alabama WR was targeted 12 times by Dillon Gabriel, and he even hauled in a touchdown. Not to mention, the schedule coming up for Cleveland is more than favorable to opposing WRs in fantasy football.

Managers wrote off Jeudy, but he still offers some value at a low cost. Jerry Jeudy FAAB Bid: 5%

Week 11 waiver wire streamers: Bye-week sleepers to add

Consider spending a few of your FAB dollars on these one-week plays, and we’ll note any Week 11 pickups who also have long-term value.

QB Fantasy Streaming Pickups

Geno Smith, Raiders (15%)

This season has been all over the place for Smith as the Raiders’ starting QB. But there is a cheat code in fantasy football this season: Start everyone who faces the Dallas Cowboys, no matter what. Luckily for Smith, he gets the pleasure of taking on this horrendous defense in Week 11.

TE Fantasy Streaming Pickup

Tyler Higbee, Rams (2%)

Matthew Stafford has been balling lately, and acquiring pieces around a hot QB is a smart move. On top of this, Higbee will face a Seattle team that allows 15.5 fantasy points per game to the TE position.

Team Defense Fantasy Streaming Pickups

New England Patriots (57%)

The Pats defense has been unbelievably consistent for fantasy football. Taking on the Jets on TNF at home should be a sloppy, low-scoring win for New England.

Kicker Fantasy Streaming Pickups

Matt Gay, Commanders (12%)

Both these offenses are slightly below average, but their defenses are not anything outstanding. There should be plenty of kicking opportunities in the final international game of the season.

Week 11 Fantasy Waiver Wire sleeper stashes & watch list

Try to tuck away these Week 11 sleeper pickups for a few FAAB dollars, as well.

Quarterback waiver pickups to stash this week

  • Shedeur Sanders, Browns (1%)
  • Kenny Pickett, Raiders (0%)
  • Russell Wilson, Giants (1%)

Though Smith is an excellent stream against Dallas, he is dealing with a knee contusion. Although there isn’t any significant damage, if Smith were to miss, Pickett is a viable option to start.

Dillon Gabriel has not done enough to cement himself as the starter, and Sanders will hopefully get an opportunity at some point this season.

Jaxson Dart left the game in the second half due to a possible concussion. Stashing Wilson could be helpful for Week 11 in deeper leagues.

Running Back waiver pickups to stash this week

  • Jaret Patterson, Chargers (0%)
  • Jeremy McNichols, Commanders (3%)
  • Brian Robinson, 49ers (24%)
  • NEW – Tyler Badie, Broncos (0%)

Patterson was elevated ahead of Week 10. Due to the Chargers’ lack of RB depth, he could find himself in a role to complement Kimani Vidal, for however long Omarion Hampton (ankle) remains sidelined, which could be a few more weeks.

“Bill” Jacory Croskey-Merritt has gotten the workload and hasn’t looked great. McNichols, on the other hand, looks explosive at times with fewer touches. He’s an interesting prospect for any future role upgrade.

Robinson is simply an  RB handcuff, but he’s now scored in back-to-back weeks. If CMC ever goes down, Robinson will immediately be an RB1.

NEW – With the news that J.K. Dobbins may land on IR with his foot injury, Badie is worth at least a stash. RJ Harvey would be the lead back, but there is no way Sean Payton would make him the bell cow.

Wide Receiver waiver pickups to stash this week

  • Devaughn Vele, Saints (1%)
  • Darius Slayton, Giants (51%)
  • Jalen Nailor, Vikings (1%)
  • Jayden Higgins, Texans (14%)
  • NEW – Christian Watson, Packers (32%)
  • NEW – Dyami Brown, Jaguars (4%)

After trading Rashid Shaheed, Saints HC Kellen Moore said that Vele will be “very involved” in the offense the rest of the season.

Despite the back-to-back good weeks, Slayton is still available in nearly half of fantasy leagues. The consistency might not be there, but the opportunity certainly is, given all the injuries the Giants have faced.

Nailor is an underrated WR in the NFL as is, but the production was never there. However, J.J. McCarthy seems to trust throwing the ball Nailor’s way, especially in late-game situations.

The inconsistency makes Higgins unreliable at the moment, but he has had some great performances since the Texans’ bye week. The upside for him is too high for him to be rostered this low.

NEW – Watson is far from a comfortable start. However, with injuries to Romeo Doubs, Matthew Golden, Tucker Kraft, and Jayden Reed still recovering from a broken collarbone, the opportunity is there.

NEW – With Travis Hunter missing the remainder of the season, Brown now offers a bit more upside due to a possible opportunity. While Parker Washington should be the top priority, there are still plenty of targets for Brown to get involved.

Tight End waiver pickups to stash this week

  • Dawson Knox, Bills (1%)
  • Ja’Tavion Sanders, Panthers (1%)
  • Ben Sinnott, Commanders (0%)
  • NEW – Brenton Strange, Jaguars (11%)
  • NEW – Will Dissly, Chargers (0%)

While it’s heavily reliant on Dalton Kincaid being out, Knox can pose as a threat in the red zone at times. The Bills also have a very favorable schedule approaching for TEs.

Sanders was targeted five times and caught all five for 32 yards. It’s nothing extraordinary, but sometimes you need an honest TE performance like this.

It’s not the most flashy stash in the world, but Sinnott could overtake Zach Ertz at some point. TEs are hard to come by in fantasy football as well. It never hurts to be ahead of the news.

NEW – Strange’s 21-day window to return from IR is opening this week. All reports indicate that he is practicing and may play again soon.

NEW – With the Oronde Gadsden injury, Dissly could be the primary TE in this Chargers offense moving forward.
