The Toronto Blue Jays have something on their side heading into Friday night’s Game 6 of the World Series.
When a Toronto sports team plays a Game 6 in a championship series, it works out well.
In the 1992 World Series, the Blue Jays won in the sixth game.
In the 1993 World Series, the Blue Jays and Joe Carter won in the sixth game.
And when the Toronto Raptors and Kawhi Leonard took home their championship, that series finished up with Game 6, too.
The Blue Jays play Game 6 at home Friday night against the Los Angeles Dodgers with a 3-2 lead in the World Series.

If L.A. wins and upends the streak, there’ll still be Game 7 back in Toronto on Saturday.
The Blue Jays may need all the good vibes in the universe for Game 6. They’re going up against Yoshinobu Yamamoto, the Japanese superstar pitcher who has won his last two starts this season in dominant, complete game fashion.
Toronto will counter with its ace, Kevin Gausman, who was very good in Game 2 but wasn’t quite Yamamoto good.
The Rogers Centre will certainly be rocking. It’ll be as loud as a building has been this entire MLB season, especially when you factor in the roof that keeps all that noise inside.
If the Blue Jays can find a way to score early, the Toronto fans will have even more reason to bring the energy.
And if history plays its part, Toronto will be bringing home another title with a Game 6 win.
