Two of the biggest names are Roope Hintz and Matt Duchene.
The Stars get a national television audience Thursday when they play the Tampa Bay Lightning, but neither of those talented forwards will be on the ice.
Why isn’t Roope Hintz playing tonight?
Roope Hintz remains out with an injury.
He took a big hit last Saturday in a win over Carolina and hasn’t played since then.
Hintz was deemed day to day before sitting out the meeting with the Washington Capitals on Tuesday.
Why isn’t Matt Duchene playing tonight?
Matt Duchene is also out with an injury.
He’s had an upper-body injury that hasn’t allowed him to play since Oct. 18.
He too has been called day to day by the Stars.
After Dallas plays on Thursday night in Tampa Bay, they stay in Florida to take on the Panthers on Saturday evening.
Then they’ll return home to take on the Oilers on Tuesday, Nov. 4.
Ideally for the Stars, they’ll start to get their firepower back as they go through this run of talented opponents.
