Morgan Rogers is on the verge of signing a new contract with Aston Villa with both parties reaching advanced negotiations, according to Football Insider.
The 23-year-old midfielder has emerged as one of Unai Emery’s most important players this season following a difficult start to the campaign and Villa are looking to secure him after opening contract talks with Rogers back in September and manager Emery recently confirmed that discussions were progressing well with the England international.
Rogers currently ranks outside the top earners at Villa Park despite his transformation into a key performer for the Midlands club and it is likely new deal will include a substantial pay rise that is in sync with his elevated status within Emery’s squad and rewards his recent excellent form.

Rogers endured criticism at the start of this season when poor form led some supporters to question his commitment to the club. His recent resurgence has silenced those doubts as goals and assists have flowed regularly in recent weeks for Emery’s side.
