Manchester City midfielder Mateo Kovacic is attracting strong interest from Aston Villa, West Ham United as the January transfer window is approaching, according to the Caughtoffside.
The Croatian international, who joined City from Chelsea in 2023 has struggled to secure consistent minutes under Pep Guardiola after injuries disrupted his first full season at the Etihad.
The 31 year-old has made 90 appearances for City in all competitions which includes his contribution to their 2023/24 Premier League title and Club World Cup win.
However, with Guardiola evolving his midfield options and Kovacic has slipped down the pecking order.
Reportedly, City are open to offers and according to reports AC Milan are understood to be leading the race for his signature with the Italian giants keen to reunite him with Serie A, where he once starred for Inter between 2013 and 2015.
West Ham and Aston Villa have also expressed interest with both clubs seeking experienced midfield depth.

Kovacic recently returned from Achilles surgery and is pushing for his first league start of the campaign when City face Villa on Sunday.
