The Toronto Blue Jays took a 1-0 lead in the series last night thanks to a massive sixth inning where they scored an absurd nine runs, en route to a 11-4 victory. The Los Angeles Dodgers went up 2-0 after the first three innings and Blake Snell was cruising, but two runs in the fourth before the nine run sixth inning and the Blue Jays drew first blood.
It is a long series, however, and with the talent on the Dodgers this series is far from over. For Game 2 tonight, Yoshinobu Yamamoto is on the mound for the Dodgers and Kevin Gausman for the Blue Jays. A good starting pitching matchup with two good pitchers, but we just saw the Blue Jays score five runs off Blake Snell, who was unhittable in the playoffs heading into Game 1.
The Dodgers are favored to win Game 2, best offered at -135 on the moneyline at BetMGM, but the Blue Jays should not be counted out. First pitch is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET with Fox on the call. Below, we look at two of our favorite World Series props.

Ohtani Continues Heater, Homers Saturday
Prior for Game 1, the last time we saw Shohei Ohtani play baseball was Game 4 of the NLCS, a game in which he might have played the best game in professional baseball, and possibly all of sports, history. He hit three home runs in that game, opening the game with a lead-off home run in the bottom of the first inning. Oh, and he also was the starting pitcher in that game and only pitched six shutout innings with 10 strikeouts.
After all that time off between the NLCS and the World Series it was a wonder if Ohtani was going to be able to stay hot at the plate, which was answered with a home run in Game 1. Granted, it was hit in the seventh inning when the Dodgers were down 11-2, but he still managed to go yard.
Gausman, the Blue Jays starter, is great, but Ohtani has already taken him yard before in only 12 ABs against each other, and Ohtani is on another planet with the way he is hitting. Oh, and Ohtani also has a .312 ISO rate against the Blue Jays bullpen, so even if he does not get one off the starter he could still easily go yard off the bullpen, which he did last night. Odds are short, but worth taking for Ohtani tonight.
Barger Matches Ohtani, Hits Another One
Addison Barger is another lefty hitter that we like to clear a fence in Game 2 tonight, and he also hit a home run last night. The homer he hit was smoked, 106.2 mph off the bat and traveled 413 feet, but he also managed to have the hardest hit of the entire game with a single that was 110.8 mph exit velocity. He did all this despite being a pinch-hitter in the game, as he does not start when the opposing team has a left-handed starter on the mound.
With the right-handed Yamamoto on the mound for the Dodgers tonight, Barger will get the start and should play most of the game until the Dodgers go to the bullpen. While Yamamoto is obviously a very good pitcher, he has been hit or miss in these playoffs. He pitched an absolute gem his last time out against the Brewers, but his start prior to that against the Phillies he was hit up. He only lasted four innings giving up six base hits and three earned runs, and one home run.
That home run was given up to a lefty batter in Kyle Schwarber. While Barger will not remind anybody of Schwarber, of course, he does have some pop to hit bat, and he can go on a run. He ended the year with a solid .231 ISO rate against RHP and has had success against this Dodgers bullpen in the past. He is absolutely worth a sprinkle at +725 odds.
