The Philadelphia Eagles have lost their second straight game in a matter of five days, losing 34-17 to the New York Giants. The Eagles failed to score a second-half point, and A.J. Brown was held out of the end zone for the fifth time this season.
Brown has made his frustrations with his role in the offense very obvious through subliminal messages on social media that have since been deleted after the Eagles’ Week 4 win over the Buccaneers – game in which Brown had just two catches for seven yards. And while it’s one thing to be frustrated when the team is winning, it’s an entirely different animal when losses begin stacking, and Brown is already up to more antics after the Eagles’ loss to the Giants.
“A.J. Brown asked about the meeting with Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley this week repeatedly says he didn’t recall any meeting,” Mike Garafolo reports on X. “When told Hurts and Barkley confirmed it, he says you’d have to talk to them. As for the Eagles’ offense: ‘We’re still trying to find our identity.’
As Garafolo reported, Brown said over and over again to reporters he didn’t recall any meeting taking place between he, Jalen Hurts, and Saquon Barkley, despite it being known one took place. The constant games Brown seems to be playing, especially now that the Eagles have lost two straight games, will only add fuel to trade rumors.
