LeBron James’ ‘Second Decision’ may reveal laughable partnership deal, per writer

Heading into his 23rd NBA campaign, Los Angeles Lakers forward and 4-time NBA champion LeBron James decided to spice up the preseason with an unexpected update on Monday.

The 40-year-old future Hall-of-Famer rocked the social media landscape by revealing that he’d make a ‘Second Decision’ on Tuesday. Following his viral post, the broader NBA world immediately pointed to a possible retirement announcement.

However, a plausible theory has begun to take shape with regard to James’ intentions. In fact, plenty in the NBA media circle have come to the conclusion that the legendary Lakers wing will be announcing a strategic business venture.

In the case of James revealing a new partnership, one NBA writer expects that the end result of the decision could be a comical one.

“You might laugh, but James’ affinity for tacos is well known,” CBS Sports’ Jasmyn Wimbish wrote Monday evening.

“He’s made multiple social media posts in the past with him yelling ‘Taco Tuesday’ while proving that he in fact does eat tacos on Tuesdays, and even tried to trademark the phrase ‘Taco Tuesday’ six years ago.”

“He was denied the chance to trademark the saying, but perhaps he’s announcing some sort of taco advertisement or partnership on National Taco Day.”

“This is certainly a stretch, but no stone will be left unturned in trying to decipher James’ vague social media post.”

As the sports world scrambles to discover the root of James’ vague announcement, a silly ‘Taco Tuesday’ deal cannot be ruled out.

James has a long and documented taco-related history, and he could have set up the perfect opportunity to unveil one of his more outlandish business decisions on Oct. 7, National Taco Day.

Sure, James announcing his retirement following the conclusion of either this year or next would break the internet, but a deal of this nature would certainly lead to a similar outcome.
