The fallout from the Baltimore Ravens’ 37-20 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, which dropped them to 1-3, has been as bad as you would expect.
The performance was bad, and when you add in that more players have been added to the mounting injury list, which now sees Lamar Jackson with a hamstring injury, and expected to be out for two to three weeks, things are bleak in Baltimore right now.
How bleak? Glad you asked.
In his latest power rankings for NFL.com, Eric Edholm has the Ravens dropping a whopping nine spots, all the way down to No. 16. Yuck.
“Sunday’s blowout loss at Kansas City dropped them to 1-3, and Lamar Jackson had multiple turnovers before leaving the game in the third quarter with a hamstring injury,” Edholm wrote. “The Ravens’ next three games are in Baltimore, with a much-needed bye in the middle, but they really need wins to avoid falling farther into the abyss.”

Is Lamar Jackson playing in Week 5?
The early thought is that Jackson will miss the next two, possibly three games, per the Baltimore Sun, and with the Ravens having their bye after the Los Angeles Rams in two weeks, there is hope that Jackson could be back after that.
Granted, he might only miss the Houston Texans game in Week 5 and be back to face the Rams, but we doubt the Ravens will rush back their most prized asset. Still, with the season on the line already, the Ravens might have to call on Cooper Rush to keep them afloat until Lamar gets healthy, and that is less than ideal.
It’s already crisis time for Baltimore, and with the margin of error at its smallest, it can’t afford any more slip-ups.
