Warriors to sign brother of Stephen Curry after offseason of rumors

The Golden State Warriors have agreed to a deal with guard Seth Curry — the brother of Warriors’ star Stephen Curry. Per ESPN’s Shams Charania, the deal is a one-year contract.

Curry will not only join his brother in Golden State, but also forward Jonathan Kuminga, who finally ended his offseason-long stalemate with the Warriors by signing a two-year, $48.5 million deal with the team on Tuesday. The Warriors will now be Curry’s 10th NBA team that he’s suited up for.

Curry to provide shooting depth for Golden State this season

Much like his future Hall of Fame brother, Seth Curry’s speciality is his three-point shooting ability, bringing an entire new meaning to the “Splash Brothers” moniker. In his 11-year career, Curry has knocked down 43 percent of his three-pointers, and led the NBA in three-point percentage last season as he shot 45.6 percent from three-point range with the Charlotte Hornets.

Curry should provide the Warriors with solid depth with his scoring ability. He’s averaging 10.0 points per game in his career, and has averaged double-digits four times, with his career-high coming 2021-22 with a mark of 15.0 points per game in time split between the Philadelphia 76ers and Brooklyn Nets.

The Warriors enter this season as dark horse title contenders in the Western Conference. As Stephen Curry reaches the back end of his prime, Golden State is equipped with a roster capable of embarking on a deep playoff run, and is going for it all in 2026.
