The best golfers in the world are set to trade individual glory for team pride as the 45th edition of the Ryder Cup begins on Friday from the Bethpage State Park’s iconic Black Course in New York.
Team Europe come into this year’s edition as the defending champions, having scripted a miraculous comeback on the final day of the tournament two years ago in Rome.
Keegan Bradley will lead Team USA, with World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler as their marquee player. On the other hand, Luke Donald will once again captain Team Europe after guiding them to success in 2023, with World No. 2 Rory McIlroy expected to be pivotal again.
While Team USA has historically been more successful in the tournament, scoring 27 wins to Europe’s 15, and two ties. However, Europe has won seven of the last 10 editions.

SiriusXM will broadcast 28 hours of live on-course coverage across three days, from the first tee shot on Friday through the final hole on Sunday. Live coverage begins at 7 a.m. ET on Friday and Saturday, and begins five hours later on Sunday at 12 p.m. ET.
Taylor Zarzour, Brian Katrek, and Drew Stoltz will be SiriusXM’s lead play-by-play voice for the 2025 U.S. Open championship. They will be joined by Cole Knost and Michael Breed as analysts. Raymond Burns, Emilia Doran, John Maginnes, Carl Paulson, and Dennis Paulson will conduct the interviews live from the location.
