Downman, who is 15 years, 263 days old, broke Reiss Nelson’s record from 2016. Nelson was 16 years, 57 days old when he netted for Arsenal’s U-21 side.
The goal came on Dowman’s second-ever appearance in the competition.
His PL2 appearance came as some surprise, since he’s been featured for Arsenal’s first team multiple times this season.
Dowman’s goal brought the Gunners level against Wolverhampton’s youth side, before Arsenal eventually took all three points in the 99th minute.
The 15-year-old has enjoyed a rapid rise to fame, which started with his debut for Arsenal’s U-18s at just 13 years old.
